My cough appears to be getting worse again - I can't seem to catch my breath.

But we have been having our fresh raw green juice every morning.

Interestingly, when I looked in the mirror this morning, I noticed that I had rosy cheeks! Now, I have never had rosy cheeks before - I've always been deathly pale. When I was little, my Mum used to say "you're so pale" and I'd retort "I'm naturally pale!"

But now, a colour is actually appearing! I hope it's not the Start of some horrible disease like rosaica (or whatever it's called!) - but just maybe, the green juice is having some positive effect on me. If it's showing on the outside, it must surely be doing good things on the inside too?

Had been taking olive leaf extract and I also read on the Internet that it would be good to have a sauna and I had a delicious one and really started feeling myself again.

However, today I've started feeling worse again - not feverish, but my cold and cough have both worsened.

To be honest, I feel a little disillusioned, for 2 reasons:

- the first is that what I thought was a consequence of my detoxing, I realise is, in fact, real flu. I forgot that my sons nanny had a bad cold when I saw her on Tuesday, and she was still terrible when I saw her again the next Tuesday, so that's my source.

- the second is that I am becoming desperate with regards to what to eat. A slight crisis point. I now have a much better idea about what's good for me and my body. In fact, a lot of it is quite obvious. The problem is that, especially now that I'm ill, I don't always fancy salads and all good things. However, when I look at something even as innocuous as a corn cake, I feel like I can't (or shouldnt) eat it, leaving me without many options at all

DH was very reassuring as he said that this is a normal response, at this point in my journey. And he reassured me that it is ok to occasionally eat less than healthy foods, especially while I am transitioning. It's best if I can to accompany it with a salad (eg. If I fancied a Chinese meal, eat what I want, but add a big salad too). But it's ok. And I can carry on my good diet, even if I do have a blow out day or evening.

This is an adjustment period and it will take a long while for the new diet to become habit and to get rid of all my old cravings. DH said that he still has the very occasional taste for something like a biscuit, but it is so not in his system that he is able to acknowlege it and let it pass. Or he, once in a blue moon, does eat one, but he immediately goes back to his normal healthy diet straight after.

That is what I am aiming for too, but it does take many months of conscious focus and determination.

My mouth was so dry and no matter how much I drink I couldn't stop being thirsty.

In morning, still thirsty. Still have hayfever (or is it a cold?) and have a headache. Obviously also feel tired. Not too great...

This has deteriorated into full-blown flu. Cough, dry throat, cold, freezing cold, shivering, headache, hair ache. Not at all good. Went to bed at same time as DS, wrapped up in layers and with 3 duvets and an extra blanket!

Really felt tempted to rake a lemsip, but instead took 2 olive leaf extract tablets.

Had delirious dreams, where Id lost my voice!

Apparantly, the macs I'd been drinking strips the body if it's heavy metals, so I am really hoping the flu is really me detoxing.

Interestingly, I noticed the persistent rash on my leg had all bit gone. Then, ehen I had the slice of toast, it began itching again.

Still have mucous on my nose and an irritable feeling in my nose

Interestingly, the skin on my body looks more glowing and smoother.

It's getting to the point now where I am actually seeing some tangible benefits in my body! This is making me intigued to see how far I can take this! Exciting!

Oh dear.... The positive symptoms haven't lasted. Feel I now have full-blown hayfever. I have diarrhoea and (ahem ahem) flatulence (possibly from my new "thick tea") and I'm feeling SO tired - I was exhausted at 2pm and had a sneaky 20min power nap. But at 5pm feel exhausted again. Also feeling quite down today...

Interesting thing to note: for the past few days I have been getting a wave of tiredness at 10pm and I know I am ready for bed. Just one month ago, I was feeling exhausted at lunchtime and again at 8.30pm. I have still been waking at c5am each morning.

Am really excited! My kefir granules arrived today (bought on eBay). Soon I'll have a ready supply of these beneficial bacteria for the price of a pint if milk! You can make a whole batch on 24 hours AND it multiplies up as time goes on!

I have been Reading about yeast Infection and I realise I have many of the symptoms listed.

These include:
Depression
Fatigue
Headache
Sugar craving 
Aching
Ibs
Gas
Blemishes
Rashes
Psoriasis
Sweat has odour

Concentration, reasoning and memory problems

Anxiety

Irritability

Helplessness

Low self esteem

Exhaustion or the feeling of "not being right"


Feelings of fogginess or "spaced out" feelings


It is difficult to overcome, although donna gates' book aims to improve the condition dramatically.


I am looking into ways to deeply detox and one of the ways is to do a 1-5 day water or juice diet, where you fast apart from drinking the prescribed liquid.  


This is a very difficult thing to do mentally as the yeast need to be fed and you therefore crave food and especially sugars.  However, apparantly, once the yeast are gone, you feel fantastic, alive, fresh, renewed, like never before!


So, watch this space as I plan to do a "juice fast" very soon....
